We are looking for an Environmental Test Technician to join our team onsite in Fairfield, CA. This position is a technical position, which requires working with Energetic Assemblies to conduct a pass/fail evaluation based on a given set of testing criteria using a helium leak mass spectrometer (leak detector). You will perform many of the Helium Leak operations under direct oversight by the Supervisor and/or Group Lead.

What You Will Do
-
Operate various pieces of equipment, manually and remotely via HMI, per Manufacturing Procedure along with conducting routine TPMs and basic maintenance.

Perform routine daily setups, operations, and careful logging of process parameters.

Clean various equipment, tooling, and areas daily.

Accurately complete documentation of work (i.e. electronic data entries, log entries, data sheets, marriage logs, etc.).

Read and understand document revisions and standards governing documenting procedures.

Perform all production-related work assigned by supervisor or group leader in strict accordance with written procedures

Identification, control, in-plant transportation, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials (i.e. solvents, explosives, lead, etc.).

Communicate potential mechanical and safety problems effectively and immediately.
-
Handle various amounts of energetics in accordance with safety regulations, while maintaining exact inventory.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires High School Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.
Qualifications We Prefer
-
Product Quality Testing or other manufacturing experience is preferred, explosive or chemical handling a plus for Level I.

Chemical / Energetic materials processing, manufacturing, and/or assembly experience a plus.

Mechanically inclined or mechanical aptitude.

Basic computer literacy
-
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
-
Maintain organized workspace and proper documentation.

Ability to work in a team environment as well as solo tasks.

Must be capable of adapting to changing situations upon the direction of supervision
-
Willing to cross-train and work in all areas of operations as part of a flexible work environment
-
Experience with operating human machine interface (HMI) software to operate equipment and monitor control bands to detect and prevent defects from occurring in real time a plus.

The salary range for this role is 35,537 USD – 66,651 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
