Who we’re looking for
TMNA’s Toyota Racing Division is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Motorsports Communications Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support Motorsports and Sponsorships goals of being the industry leader in social, PR and media activities across various platforms and audiences. Accomplishing these goals will require working with internal stakeholders along with key business partners to build tactical plans to support each series and/or sponsorships overall strategic vision.
Reporting to the Partnership Marketing Manager, the person in this role will support the department’s objectives by developing and executing a strategic 360 communications plan for internal and external audiences to highlight the many activities and benefits of motorsports and sponsorship programs.
What you’ll be doing
Collaborate with team members and business partners to manage projects, while ensuring KPIs, deadlines, and budgets are met.
Represent Toyota and support Toyota's business and marketing objectives through communication and collaboration with key media, agency, and/or business partners.
Support the creation of presentations for TMNA executives, TMC, regional teams, dealers, and business partner audiences.
Facilitate the creation of content and messaging on 1) motorsports/sponsorship social media channels, 2) websites, and 3) traditional PR channels.
Work with internal stakeholders to align social media efforts to maximize the reach of Toyota’s initiatives with message integration and content development to ensure a one-voice Toyota experience across paid, earned and owned channels; requires weekly meetings with cross-functional teams.
Support Toyota Racing and TRD message and education through the race teams and internally to team members nationally.
Collaborate with Toyota's media team to manage all aspects of motorsport media purchases and elements across various networks.
Approval of social media content is required seven days a week, including most holidays. The race season spans 11 months.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
Experience in project management support role.
A growth mindset, demonstrated by continuous learning, adaptability to challenges, respect for people and ability to learn.
Experience in Microsoft Suite skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with ability to use data for storytelling and decision making.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization; comfortable presenting in front of regions or other groups.
Availability to travel, particularly on weekends.
Experience managing various agreements, contracts, and budget.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including weekends
Added bonus if you have
Experience in product marketing, consumer insights, digital experiences, corporate planning, advertising, sales or collegiate internships.
MBA or advanced business degree
Experience in automotive or automotive related industry
Automotive or high-tech marketing and product launch experience
Prior experience in sales or related functions
Relevant experience applying prominent marketing strategy models for a large global brand
Familiarity with key automotive market data sources (examples: Maritz NVCS & NVAS, PIN, Polk Insight, JD Power studies, GfK studies, Tableau, etc.) or demonstrated competency to quickly learn and use these tools
Experience in an environment where capable of both high-level strategic responsibilities and tactical tasks such as report creation and data analysis
Experience in developing social media and media plans
