We are looking for a Quality Continuous Improvement Senior Project Leader to lead the Avio Aero Quality team in developing and implementing process improvement initiatives, ensuring full alignment with internal requirements and customer improvement needs.
In this role you will act as a key reference point for cross-functional projects, with a strong focus on process improvement, structured problem solving, and stakeholder engagement.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Quality project leadership - Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the quality domain, from concept through implementation and follow-up on results.
Process improvement - Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies and issues, and define action plans and solutions to improve performance, quality, and process stability.
Customer focus - Ensure that improvement projects address internal and external customer quality requirements, anticipating risks and future needs.
Quality team coordination - Work closely with the Quality team, providing guidance, methodological coaching, and support in managing improvement activities.
Cross-functional collaboration - Coordinate and engage different functions (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure effective implementation of improvement actions.
KPI monitoring - Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and improvement, ensuring sustainability of achieved results.
CI methodologies - Promote and apply continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., structured problem solving, root cause analysis, standardization) in line with company standards.
Communication and reporting - Prepare updates, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders, clearly communicating project progress, benefits, and risks.
Qualifications/Requirements
Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Demonstrated ability to lead structured teams
Previous experience in Lean, Quality, Manufacturing and/or Engineering
Solid experience in continuous improvement / quality roles, preferably in an industrial or aerospace environment
Ability to drive APQP, RCCA, 8D, PFMEA
Strong oral and written communication skills
Availability to travel as needed
Fluent in English and Italian languages
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Material or Aerospace Engineering degree from an accredited university or college preferred
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Flight Deck proprietary GEA Lean tool knowledge
Demonstrated ability to lead and support multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to influence others and lead team
