The Corporate Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will be responsible for corporate financial analysis and reporting activities, including, but not limited to, business unit and segment reporting, leading the annual restatement process, and facilitation of accountable methodology, ensuring consistency of analysis (Form M) across the enterprise. This individual will be a team lead within Caterpillar’s Financial Analysis and Reporting Group, working in tandem with a team of highly skilled financial analysts to prepare enterprise monthly and quarterly financial analysis and communicate results to Senior Leadership. Additional responsibilities include review of externally reported information, including the quarterly earnings release and elements of the 10-Q/10-K. What You Will Do:
- Consolidating and preparing monthly and quarterly financial analysis of accountable results, including segment reporting
- Facilitating Caterpillar accountable methodology to divisions and business units, including annual restatement process
- Reviewing internal and external financial communications, including the quarterly earnings release and segments results in 10-Q/10-K
- Effectively communicating financial results to Senior Director of FP&A
- Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes
- Collaborate across a variety of groups at Caterpillar, including segment CFO teams and business unit contacts, IT and systems support.
- Partner across the enterprise to support key projects related to Global Finance strategy initiatives
What Will You Have:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Additional Information:
This position is in our Irving, TX office. No additional locations.
Domestic travel up to 5%
This position requires working onsite five days a week

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
