As a Sr. Condition Monitoring Specialist, you will be accountable for delivering superior Customer and Dealer experience by executing fleet and asset onboarding during the Condition Monitoring (CM) deployment process. You will achieve this through the highest capability levels in technical communication, analytics, reporting, operational execution, and site knowledge gained through years of applied practice. Additionally, this role will assist with elevating capabilities and efficiencies across the CM operational and development teams while also providing workload and quality support.
What you will do:
Site Setup and Superior Initial Customer / Dealer Experience:
- Accountable for ensuring that newly enrolled assets are optimized for CM service delivery
- Onsite dealer and customer CM service overview via technical communication excellence
- Customization of monitoring thresholds, analytics and reporting for new CM sites
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all 5 elements of CM related to site, fleet, asset onboarding: telematics data flow and analytics setup, work order and SOS integration, site condition understanding
Condition Monitoring Advisor (CMA) Quality and Workload Support:
- Accountable for driving a consistent level of service quality across all regions and CMAs
- Address regional capacity issues related to CMA coverage
- Inspect individual CMA workflow and recommendations for improvement opportunities
- Identify CM process improvements and share best practices across regions
- Monitor, coach, and improve poor-performing sites, especially on key topics like CMA workflow, down-time drivers, recommendations and feedback loops, site governance, dealer interactions, and effective communication
Team Capability and Efficiency Enhancement:
- Accountable to turn practical experience into useable CM service improvements
- Support Cat Foresight development to augment CM asset coverage efficiency and analytics capability
- Act as an SME or idea generator to support CM-related project work
- Assist with junior CMA hiring, training and mentoring
What skills you will have:
Service & Technical Excellence: Extensive experience as a high-performing Condition Monitoring Advisor, Fleet Manager, or Site Performance Manager, who possesses a deep understanding of the five elements of Condition Monitoring, broad operational exposure across mining, quarry and aggregates, or waste environments. Comprehensive knowledge of diverse asset models, equipment applications, and site conditions.
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. The ability and passion to coach and mentor junior team members.
Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Experience engaging directly with customers and/or Caterpillar dealers.
Top candidates will also have:
Background in cross-functional, project-based teamwork (product development, 6-Sigma, CPI, etc.)
Extensive experience with Cat Foresight, Equipment Care Advisor, or similar CM system
This position requires working onsite five days a week.Relocation is available for this position.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
