Job Summary: An in-house video producer and editor is a versatile creative professional responsible for the entire lifecycle of a video project—from initial concept and filming to final post-production and distribution. Unlike agency roles, this position focuses on deeply understanding our brands and creating consistent content for internal and external channels. This role is within a broader creative team but is the only one focused on video creation.
Core Responsibilities:
- Pre-Production: Developing creative concepts, writing or refining scripts, storyboarding, and planning logistics like location scouting and scheduling.
- Production (Field/Studio): Directing on-camera talent, operating cameras (DSLR/Mirrorless), setting up lighting, and recording high-quality audio.
- Post-Production: Performing the primary edit (narrative assembly), color grading, sound mixing, and adding motion graphics or text overlays.
- Project Management: Managing production budgets, tracking timelines to meet deadlines, and organizing a digital media archive for future use. Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to develop project timelines and budgets and ensure that all projects are executed according to plan.
- External Partners: Coordinate with external vendors, freelance talent, and production partners to leverage additional resources and capabilities for project execution.
- Knowledge Source: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, implementing innovative approaches to enhance our production capabilities.
- Asset Management: Coordinate upload, tracking and storage of raw files. Facilitate handover of final files to relevant teams or tools.
- Creativity: Exhibit strong creative vision with the ability to execute innovative ideas and concepts. Social Media content is a part of this role, so adaptability across different execution styles is key, with an eye for high value production and social first.
- Studio / Equipment: Manage and track studio equipment for studio and location shoots. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the marketing and creative team.
- Analytics: Be receptive to content performance across platforms, making data-driven adjustments to improve engagement and reach.
