As we expand, UHP is launching Ignite America Trade Schools—a bold initiative to modernize skilled trades education. We are building one of the most advanced trade training environments in the country, combining hands-on instruction with simulation, immersive VR, and AI-supported learning systems.

The Opportunity
This is not a traditional director role—and it is fully onsite at our Gentry, Arkansas campus.
We are looking for a Founding Director of Electrical School—a builder who will design, launch, and scale a modern electrical training program from the ground up.
You will own the full lifecycle:
- Program creation
- Curriculum design
- Instructor development
- Industry alignment
- Long-term growth and scalability
This role is about more than running a program—it’s about building a national model for electrical workforce development.
What You'll Do
Build the Program
- Design and launch a comprehensive electrical training program from inception through execution
- Define learning outcomes, certifications, and performance standards
- Build a scalable model that can expand across campuses
Lead & Develop People
- Recruit, hire, and mentor electrical instructors
- Establish instructional standards, evaluation processes, and a culture of excellence
- Create an environment focused on professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement
Design Modern Training
- Develop curriculum aligned with NEC standards and industry best practices
- Integrate hands-on learning with simulation, VR/AR, and AI-supported instruction
- Build immersive training environments that replicate real-world job sites
Drive Innovation
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies in trade education
- Partner with internal teams and external providers to enhance learning outcomes
- Help position Ignite America as a leader in modern workforce development
Own Operations
- Manage program budgets, equipment, labs, and facilities
- Oversee scheduling, compliance, and safety standards
- Ensure program quality, accreditation, and credential alignment
Build Industry Partnership
- Develop relationships with contractors, utilities, and employers
- Align training with workforce demand and hiring pipelines
- Support apprenticeship pathways and job placement outcomes
What We're Looking For
Required
- Master Electrician license OR equivalent senior leadership experience in electrical workforce training, apprenticeship programs, or technical education
- 10+ years in the electrical industry
- Proven leadership experience in training, workforce development, or program management
- Deep understanding of NEC codes, safety standards, and industry practices
Preferred
- NCCER Certified Instructor or experience with NCCER-aligned programs
- Experience building or scaling training or apprenticeship programs
- Background leading teams of instructors or technical trainers
- Exposure to simulation, VR/AR, or digital learning platforms in training environments
- Passion for innovating how skilled trades are taught and developed
