Title:
Site Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
KBR is seeking a highly detail-oriented Site Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support secure facility operations, system accountability, and user compliance within a multi-network classified environment. This position operates inside a SCIF/SAPF, with responsibilities aligned to DoDM 5205.07, ICD 705, ICS 705, DoDM 5200.01, JSIG, DoDI 8510.01, DAFMAN 17-1302-O, and other relevant guidance and cognizant security office requirements. All networks and systems are externally managed and accredited.
This role ensures that on-site implementation, usage, and handling of systems and equipment remain compliant with governing security requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable enforcing strict procedural compliance in a classified, multi-network environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all on-site systems and equipment (workstations, KVMs, cabling, VTC systems, phones, peripherals, etc.) are installed, configured, and maintained in accordance with security requirements and approved system configurations.
- Validate that physical connections, cabling paths, and system integrations align with classification boundaries, separation requirements, and applicable guidance.
- Maintain strict accountability of all IT systems and equipment, including inventories, audits, tracking, and reconciliation across multiple networks.
- Execute comprehensive media control procedures, including tracking, labeling, storage, transfer, sanitization, and destruction of media.
- Administer and manage COMSEC accounts, including receipt, safeguarding, inventory, and destruction of keying material, in coordination with the .
- Support equipment and media ingress/egress, ensuring all items are properly authorized, documented, inspected, and logged in accordance with facility security procedures.
- Provide hands-on support to system owners and ISSMs, including collecting, generating, and delivering artifacts and evidence as required to demonstrate compliance.
- Support new system installations, network expansions, and infrastructure changes, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with security and facility requirements.
- Ensure personnel have appropriate system access and accounts, coordinating account requests, provide initial and refresher user training IAW each network’s requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce site-specific security procedures, ensuring users understand and comply with requirements for system use, media handling, and classified operations.
- Provide in-person training and guidance to users on proper handling of systems, accounts, media, and daily security practices.
- Conduct routine compliance checks and walkthroughs to verify adherence to procedures, identify risks, and correct deficiencies.
- Ensure all activities within the facility comply with relevant physical and technical security requirements.
- Maintain inspection readiness, ensuring logs, inventories, procedures, and processes are complete and accurate.
- Perform minimal SharePoint administration, including permissions management and basic content organization.
Qualifications
Required:
- An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SAP access, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
- 5+ years of experience supporting classified facilities, secure IT environments, or system accountability functions.
- Active DoD 8570/8140 certification (IATII or IAM1 minimum)
- Strong understanding of SCIF/SAPF operations.
- Experience with media control, equipment accountability, and secure handling procedures.
- Experience supporting COMSEC accounts and working with keying material and KOAM processes.
- Familiarity with ICD 705, ICS 705, DoDM 5205.07, DoDM 5200.01, JSIG, and TEMPEST requirements as they apply to system use and facility operations.
- Experience supporting system installations, cabling, KVMs, VTC systems, and multi-network environments.
- Ability to develop clear procedures and enforce user compliance in a classified environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage inventories, logs, and audit requirements.
- Strong communication skills with ability to provide in-person user training and guidance.
Desired
- Experience supporting multi-network SCIF/SAPF environments with multiple system owners.
- Familiarity with NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, other SCI and SAP systems and environments.
- Experience supporting facility inspections (IG, OSI, SAPMO, IC, or internal compliance inspections).
- Knowledge of TEMPEST considerations and physical separation requirements.
- Experience writing SOPs and user procedures aligned to DoD and IC guidance.

Basic Compensation:
$125,000 - $150,000
This range is for Colorado only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
