Lead and develop a team of two or more payroll accountants, providing coaching, guidance, and clear performance expectations.

Oversee the Payroll Accounting Reconciliation process, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of reconciling items.

Design, implement, and refine effective processes to clear reconciling items and strengthen overall reconciliation controls.

Develop reporting and dashboards to track, monitor, and manage reconciling items across the organization.

Serve as a primary liaison between Payroll Operations, Benefits, Tax, and business units to identify root causes and drive solutions for open reconciling items.

Contribute to strategic financial initiatives, including ERP upgrades, integrations, and process transformation projects.

Support team members’ ongoing growth and development while ensuring efficient and effective task execution.

Set team goals, measure progress, and drive strong operational outcomes.

Lead initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, strengthen internal controls, and promote process efficiency.

Foster a strong culture of controls and compliance with US GAAP, RTX policies, and U.S. Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Lead and/or participate in cross functional projects in partnership with Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR, Benefits Finance, Digital Technology, Internal Controls, and third party vendors.

Qualifications You Must Have
-
A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

5+ years of experience with Payroll Accounting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, ADP, and SAP

Experience supervising and developing employees
