Perform system level performance analysis to evaluate and optimize advanced airborne sensor capabilities

Develop, refine, and analyze algorithms to support mission-critical aerospace applications

Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and guide engineering decisions
-
Build statistical models and performance predictions for complex, multidisciplinary systems
-
Execute detailed data analyses following Raytheon engineering processes and best practices
-
Participate in formal and informal peer reviews; identify, track, and resolve technical issues
-
Provide clear, timely task status updates and deliver high quality work products to the team lead
-
Interface daily with engineering teammates, team leads, and cross-functional partners to ensure technical alignment
-
Support customer and program presentations by contributing technical content and insights
-
Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
-
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Signal Processing Algorithms or Models, Image Processing Algorithms or Models, Detection Theory, or Machine Learning.

Mathematical modeling and analytical problem-solving skills
-
UNIX/Linux environments.
-
Programming experience in C or C++, and hands on experience using MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
Qualifications We Prefer:

Active DoD Top Secret clearance
-
Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred)

Knowledge developing signal processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications, including signal and image processing, physics-constrained modeling, digital communications, detection and estimation theory, or AI/ML model development and training techniques.

Realtime programming for embedded or mission critical systems
-
Experience using software change management tools, version control systems, and established software development processes

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
