The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Contract Management Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) to support the F/A-18 program in Berkeley, MO.
As a member of the F/A-18 & EA-18 Contracts Team, this position includes a variety of contract management tasks, including leading proposal development, fact-finding, negotiation and award of contracts as well as the execution/administration of contracts through all lifecycles. Our ideal candidate will exhibit initiative and strong organizational skills and should be able to act independently through the challenges of a fast-paced organization. The F/A-18 & EA-18 are the United States Navy’s front-line strike fighter and electronic attack aircraft, and this contracting organization supports the acquisition of new aircraft, service life modification, engineering change proposals, software, and critical capability upgrades to keep the platforms relevant well into the future. This position requires a keen sense of urgency while maintaining a mindset that promotes leadership, safety, first time quality, working to emphasize speed and agility, honesty and candor.
Position Responsibilities:
Interface with Leaders at all levels of the Enterprise and with external customers on a regular basis providing contract interpretations/determinations
Lead the development of contractual and pricing strategy, funding and expenditure profiles, provide proper disclosures within established company and customer policies, process, procedures and regulations
Make firm commitments on behalf of the Enterprise within established Delegation of Authority with Customers for various transactions
Work with the Department of Defense (DoD) and industry prime customers in addition to the Defense Contract management Agency and Defense Contract Audit Agency
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customer counterparts and the next level within the customer organization at a high rate of transaction frequency
Develop solutions to moderately complex problems that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
Develop solutions to unique challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisions
Operate and practice with a professional level of discretion
Provide Contracts guidance/determinations and technical and operational leadership for the program/ business management teams
Draft, review and negotiate Proprietary Information Agreements or other Non-Sales Agreements necessary to meet organizational objectives and protect the intellectual and proprietary property of Boeing and its customers
Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements
Coordinate flow-down and flow-up of prime terms and conditions with supplier management
Prepare company funds requests and obtain required management approval
Facilitate prompt payment and support achievement of company financial goals and objectives
Act as focal for audits as required
Serve as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the company on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ year of experience developing, negotiating and executing complex United States Government (USG) contracts and subcontracts under USG primes
1+ year of experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or other commercial contracting terms and conditions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience drafting, negotiations and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
Experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships
Experience with advising all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving
Bachelor’s degree or higher

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (Associate, Level 2): $73,100 – $98,900
Summary pay range (Mid-Level, Level 3): $90,100 – $121,900
