What You Will Be Doing
The selected candidate will use systematic, science-based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making processes. This position will require frequent collaboration with team members and engineers in other disciplines. As part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Operations Analysis team, this candidate will participate in analysis to support requirements definitions, concept of operations (CONOPS) evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies to help shape and influence future capabilities of the warfighter. These impactful studies quantify the effects of payloads, weapons and tactics on survivability and mission effectiveness.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Formulating analysis and study plans based on critical questions/problem statements
• Applying engineering-based techniques, problem-solving methods, and critical thinking
• Researching military systems performance and operations
• Simulation, Modeling and Analysis (MS&A) of military systems and scenarios in digital environments
• Developing Design of Experiments (DOE) and quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs)
• Analyzing simulation results using Data Analytics to draw meaningful conclusions
• Executing trade studies and performing statistical analysis
• Presenting analysis with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Leading research efforts and sharing of analytical techniques with research methodologies.
• Applying decision analysis methods to evaluate current and future programs

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university with relevant experience
• Active DoD secret clearance with an investigation within 5 years
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Modeling and simulation experience
• Scripting and data processing experience (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
• Candidates must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance upon employment. This position also requires an enhanced security review in accordance with government contract requirements and it is a condition of employment that individuals hired into positions requiring program clearance obtain and maintain such clearance within sufficient time to allow Lockheed Martin to meet its business needs.
Desired Skills:• Active DoD Top Secret clearance, investigation within 5 years
• Military operations analysis experience executing studies and presenting results (OA, ORSA, #MFCVET)
• Modeling and simulation experience in AFSIM, Brawler, Suppressor, ESAMS, or equivalent
• Software experience (C++, Git, Gitlab)
• Understanding of radar, electronic warfare, infrared, or military communication systems
• Understanding of statistical concepts, such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis
• Advanced degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university with relevant experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
