Schwab Network is a financial media company committed to delivering trusted insights, informed perspectives, and timely conversations on market‑moving events. As the Director of Talent Booking & Events, you will lead the strategy and execution of high‑profile guest booking and live events that amplify Schwab Network’s voice and credibility. Your work ensures our programming reflects a broad range of expertise, viewpoints, and experiences across the global financial ecosystem.
In this role, you will cultivate relationships with top‑tier executives, policymakers, investors, and thought leaders—securing voices that bring clarity and context to complex financial topics. You will partner closely with editorial, production, marketing, and social teams to align talent strategy with news cycles, audience needs, and brand priorities. This is a fast‑paced, high‑visibility role where sound judgment, collaboration, and attention to detail directly influence audience trust and engagement.
You will also lead and develop a booking team, setting standards for quality, preparation, and follow‑through, while overseeing contracts, budgets, vendors, and multi‑format events. Your ability to think strategically while executing with precision will be critical to Schwab Network’s continued growth and authority.
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- 9–10 years of experience in talent booking, media production, or live events.
- Financial markets or business news experience.
- Large‑scale event or conference management experience.
- Strategic relationship‑building skills demonstrated by the ability to identify, engage, and secure high‑profile executives, economists, analysts, and financial influencers.
- Editorial and news judgment applied to anticipate market trends and book timely, relevant voices.
- Leadership and people‑development skills used to coach booking teams and show anchors.
- Cross‑functional collaboration skills enabling partnership across editorial, production, marketing, and communications.
- Operational and organizational skills applied to managing contracts, budgets, vendors, and logistics.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills demonstrated in fast‑paced environments.
- Clear and professional communication skills used with senior leaders and stakeholders.
