The Behavioral Health Professional Supervisor assists with the overall management of Section 28 homecare quality operations, with an emphasis on supervising behavioral health professionals, and overseeing individual treatment plans (ITPs) to ensure cognitively or functional impaired individuals develop and maintain skills and abilities necessary to manage his or her behavioral health treatment needs, learning the social skills and behaviors necessary to live with and interact with other community members and independently, and to build or maintain satisfactory relationships with peers or adults, learning the skills that will improve a member’s self-awareness, environmental awareness, social appropriateness and support social integration, and learning awareness of and appropriate use of community services and resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise behavioral health professionals per section 28 regulations
- Performs weekly and quarterly record reviews for Quality Management Programs and Individual Treatment Plans (ITP)
- Assists in coordinating and reporting results for the Section 28 program
- Provides customer service to service coordinators, case managers, individual participants and behavioral health professionals
- Proactively communicates and collaborates with external customers to review services/supports and troubleshoots issues that may arise
- Creates and maintains best practice guides, SOPs, and ITP Plans
- Identifies areas of improvement within behavioral health professional staff training, services rendered, and program as a whole
- Works directly with internal and external staff to train and support best practices in conjunction with the ITP and Section 28 regulations
- Identifies, documents and communicates issues specific to a lack of progress towards outcomes established by the TSP/Program that impact the delivery of care
- Elicits new requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, business process descriptions, and workflow analysis
- Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s Level Clinician or Equivalent
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field and at least (two) 2 years related experience; or
- Have a Master’s degree in a human services or related field and at least (one) 1 year of related experience; or
- Be a licensed social worker (LSW) with at least (one) 1 year of related experience; or
- Be a licensed social worker (LSW) who has attained a related Master’s degree; or
- Be a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC), licensed clinical professional counselor conditional clinical (LCPC-CC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), Licensed Masters Social Worker conditional (LMSW-C), a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), psychologist, physician, or advanced practice registered nurse; or
- Be a registered professional nurse with 3 years related experience.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, required
- Must be detail oriented and have ability to work on multiple projects preferred
- Superior organization skills and teamwork skills preferred
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferred
- Proficiency in the English language is required
