Your New Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking Business Analysis professionals across Business Process and Business Systems disciplines to support a program delivering capability in a classified environment.
The program delivers new capability by building on and integrating existing systems and processes, applying a reuse – buy – build approach to achieve operational outcomes while managing risk, schedule and security constraints.
These roles contributes to the delivery of capability for the Whole of Australian Government (WoAG), supporting outcomes of national importance in a complex and fast‑moving delivery environment.
The Business Analysis team operates under the direction of the Program Manager, with day‑to‑day leadership provided by the Senior Business Systems Analyst, and works closely with business, technical and security stakeholders.
The Business Process Analyst will:
Analyze and document existing (as‑is) business processes that form the foundation of the delivered capability.
Support the design of future‑state (to‑be) processes that enable integration of reused, purchased and newly built solutions.
Work with stakeholders to understand operational workflows, decision points and constraints in a classified operating environment.
Contribute to identifying opportunities where existing processes can be reused or adapted to support the end‑to‑end solution.
The Business Systems Analyst will:
Analyze business and operational needs to support system solutions based on reuse, buy or build decisions.
Assist with documenting functional and non‑functional requirements for integration of existing systems, commercial products and bespoke components.
Support traceability between business needs, system capabilities and delivery outcomes in a security‑constrained environment.
Work closely with technical specialists to clarify system interactions and dependencies.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will:
Lead the Business Analysis function across the program, ensuring analysis activities align with reuse – buy – build decision‑making.
Take accountability for systems analysis outcomes across complex, multi‑component solutions.
Shape requirements and solution options that balance operational need, security constraints, existing capability and delivery risk.
Provide functional leadership and mentoring to the Business Analyst team.
Act as the primary BA interface to the Program Manager for analysis, scope and solution clarity.
About You and What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role supporting complex ICT or digital delivery.
Experience working in regulated or security‑conscious environments.
Ability to analyze and document existing processes and systems as a foundation for future capability.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical audiences.
Experience working with integrated solutions across on‑premise and/or cloud environments, with an awareness of security considerations.
Additional – Business Process Analyst
Experience in as‑is / to‑be process analysis and process documentation.
Ability to identify process reuse and adaptation opportunities.
Comfort working under direction in complex operational environments.
Additional – Business Systems Analyst
Experience supporting systems analysis across integrated or multi‑component solutions.
Exposure to commercial (COTS), customized and bespoke systems.
Ability to work within defined scope and delivery priorities.
Additional – Senior Business Systems Analyst
Strong experience leading Business analysis in complex, constrained delivery environments.
Proven ability to shape requirements and solution options across reuse, buy and build approaches.
Experience coordinating and mentoring Business Analysts.
Sound technical understanding (e.g. integration, data, infrastructure or security concepts).
Ability to provide trusted analysis advice to Program and delivery leadership.

Additional Requirements
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum of TSPV security clearance.
