Overview
The Janitorial Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily janitorial operations to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and maintained to required standards. This role supervises cleaning staff, coordinates schedules, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and serves as the main point of contact for operational needs.
Pay: $22.00/hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. Responsibilities
- Supervise and support janitorial staff during assigned shifts
- Assign daily work tasks and ensure coverage for all scheduled areas
- Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
- Train employees on proper cleaning methods, equipment use, and safety procedures
- Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies
- Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Address employee and operational issues in a timely, professional manner
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and company standards
- Communicate regularly with operations leadership regarding staffing and service needs
- Complete reports and documentation as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Janitorial, custodial, or facilities experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs
