JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Business Analyst independently leads requirements gathering, analysis, and solution design to ensure business needs are met with effective, scalable solutions. This role works closely with stakeholders, facilitates workshops, mentors junior analysts, and contributes to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders, ensuring clear and complete documentation.
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to capture business needs and align expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable solutions.
- Apply proficiency with BI tools and data analysis methods to evaluate business performance and recommend improvements.
- Support testing by reviewing test cases, validating requirements, and assisting with defect resolution.
- Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the improvement of business analysis methods, templates, and best practices.
SUCCESSFUL CHARACTERISTICS/SKILLS
Experience & Background
- Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in business analysis, project delivery, or related roles.
- Requires experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to analyze and present data insights.
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools and query languages (e.g., SQL).
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and familiarity with secure SDLC (SSDLC) practices.
- Ability to work with stakeholders to balance competing priorities and reach consensus.

- Strong communication and facilitation skills with both business and technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support less experienced colleagues.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., IIBA CCBA, Agile BA) preferred.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $88,400 - $150,700
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
