We’re looking for a
Human Resources Generalist to support our small
Augusta, GA Securitas office with day-to-day hiring and onboarding. In this role, you’ll handle the full process from candidate to employee, including scheduling interviews and orientations, coordinating background checks and pre-employment steps, keeping files organized and audit-ready, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing uniform distribution so new hires are ready to work on day one.
This role is a great fit for someone who is comfortable in a small office environment, is highly organized and detail-oriented, understands onboarding best practices, and communicates clearly with both candidates and team members to create a smooth, welcoming new hire experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Depending on experience, Securitas will offer an hourly rate of
$20.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on experience. You’ll also receive a great benefit package that includes:

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full onboarding process in our small security office, making sure each new hire moves smoothly and on time from candidate to employee.
- Run new hire orientations and confirm all pre-employment steps are completed, including background checks, paperwork, and any required licenses.
- Process and review I-9s, background checks, state licenses, and other required documents to stay in line with federal, state, and company rules.
- Keep employee files and HRIS records accurate, organized, and audit ready.
- Handle uniform distribution, tracking, and inventory so new security officers are ready to start their shifts.
- Serve as a first point of contact for HR questions from new and current employees, including onboarding, paperwork, and basic policy questions.
- Juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a small office setting while staying organized, detailed, and responsive.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting onboarding, recruiting, or HR operations, ideally in a busy or high-volume setting.
- Working knowledge of I-9s, background checks, and standard HR paperwork.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple new hire start dates at once.
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on following processes and staying compliant.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with people at all levels in a small office.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with Oracle or similar HRIS is a plus.
- Practical, problem-solving mindset with an interest in finding simple ways to improve onboarding and daily HR processes.
