The Systems Analytics Group at Haskell supports the business by providing data-driven consulting services. From long-term capacity planning to improve the efficiency of existing systems, Haskell’s Analytics group develops, customizes and leverages tools for all aspects of our client's current and future needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the project work ensuring it is technically sound and meets project specifications and requirements. You will typically lead work giving direction to other members of the System Analytics group.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create project scope and proposals, including schedules and budget
- Lead the project work while managing the labor hour budget, schedule dates, and any scope variances
- Lead Development and implementation of simulation, emulation, and other analytical models in a variety of software platforms
- Provide probabilistic decision support to project teams
- Conduct analyses of system dynamics including system throughput and cycle time, bottleneck and buffers analysis, and material flow and inventory analysis
- Perform economic analysis for project scope items as they relate to operational characteristics of the system (shift and crew scheduling, changeovers and production cycles, etc.)
- Observe and document existing conditions at the client’s production and distribution facilities
- Develop and maintain schedules and cost-efficiency
- Develop personal technical skills as well as those of co-workers
- Present project deliverables to a client audience
- Travel required
Education/Experience:
- 5 to 10 Years of experience with a B.S. in Industrial and/or Systems Engineering with experience in simulation, optimization, and/or forecasting
- Must be knowledgeable of, or able to quickly learn the various packaging machinery systems and software packages including their capabilities and limitations
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
- Use probability and statistics to model basic problems and make distinctions between scenarios
- Lead development and execution of project teams within budget and on time
- Oversee client communication, including meetings on-site
- Apply simulation (Discrete Event & Monte Carlo) in situations where basic probability models are not adequate
- Perform and lead engineering economics analyses
- Possess strong programming skills and capability of learning new languages and syntaxes
- Possess strong skills with Microsoft Excel and with data manipulation in general
- Possess knowledge of optimization and capability to formulate simple linear and integer programs
- Possess broad industry knowledge in the following areas:
- Manufacturing and packaging systems
- Warehousing and logistics
- Lean & Six Sigma concepts
- Possess a good mechanical aptitude and understanding of automation and controls
- Demonstrate good observational and listening skills to assist in conducting line audits
- Conduct effective interviews with subject matter experts
- Possess strong data visualization skills
- Present complex ideas and the results of analyses in a group setting
- Write clear and concise summaries of analyses
- Possess the ability to develop code (in C#, Python, or VBA) while maintaining Haskell’s coding standards
- Ability to communicate key technical takeaways to a non-technical, business-oriented audience

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
