As an Associate Scientist within CTDO Process Development/Analytical Testing, this energetic, collaborative and motivated individual will be responsible for analytical testing in support of early and late-stage drug product and vector development. The ideal candidate will have experience executing assays across multiple disciplines including flow cytometry, molecular, and functional cell-based assays. Strong knowledge of flow cytometry, cell sorters, multicolour flow panels, and data analysis is highly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute routine assays in support of multiple early and late-stage development efforts
- Record results in an electronic lab notebook (ELN) for review and release
- Gain proficiency in multiple methods
- Act as a reviewer of ELN data entries
- Contribute to laboratory operations including reagent preparation, consumables restocking, and general clean-up/lab duties
- Reinforce safe workplace practices in accordance with company and OSHA policies/procedures
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor?s degree with a focus on life sciences w/ 3-5 years of industry experience
- Basic knowledge of methods used to characterize cellular and viral material is required
- Specific knowledge of flow cytometry, cell-sorters, multicolour assays, and analysis is desired
- Experience with ELN systems is preferred
- Motivation and drive to acquire new skills and knowledge
- Willingness to work in a regulated industrial environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills
