Our business is expanding and we are seeking multiple knowledgeable and experienced (5+ years) Contracts Specialists / in-house lawyer to join our Contracts team. Our ideal candidate will possess attention to detail, strong drafting experience and a solid grasp of contract management/risks.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a:
- contracts (or in house legal) professional with 5+ years experience
- “can-do” self-starter with experience advising and influencing cross functional stakeholders
- proven record of delivering commercial outcomes for their customers
- experience supporting bids / proposals in complex industries
- Experience with continuous/process improvement

The Role:
Working alongside the project and commercial teams, you will provide comprehensive contract management support and guidance to programs delivering technology and technical services to our customers. You will deliver contractual outcomes and manage risk by drafting and negotiating variations and correspondence while maintaining strong relationships with local and global stakeholders.

About you:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of contract management principles and focus on executable commercial outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with commercial contracts and/or complex supplier agreements is required. Experience managing technical or engineering services contracts within a project environment preferred.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Business/Commerce) from a recognised institution highly desirable.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
