Raytheon is seeking a Digital Systems Administration Manager to join the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) in Woburn, MA.
This role leads the System Administration section responsible for the people, processes, and technical execution of Program Work Environments (PWEs). The Section Leader oversees staffing, tasking, technical direction, performance development, and daily operations for System Administrators supporting program objectives.
You will own the planning and delivery of the Digital Technology (DT) scope required to establish and sustain program work environments. As the primary DT interface for program leadership, program management, and functional partners, you will serve as a strategic business partner, escalation point, and champion for digital transformation.
This position supports programs from proposal and start-up through sustainment and closure, working across functions to ensure effective DT engagement throughout the program lifecycle. This is a fully onsite role based in Woburn, MA, with support for additional locations as needed. Domestic travel may be required.
What You Will Do:

Assign technical work and tasking to System Administrators.
-
Participate in program, engineering, factory, and cybersecurity meetings.
-
Oversee staffing and workforce planning for System Administrators.
-
Provide technical and programmatic updates related to System Administrator activities.
-
Manage hiring activities including requisitions, interviews, offers, onboarding, and clearance processes.
-
Track required team training and certifications.
-
Partner with program leadership and DPLs to present a unified technical position.
-
Lead performance discussions, develop IDPs, and align team goals.
-
Support annual AOP, LRP and compensation planning and team building activities.
-
Manage employee transitions such as separations and retirements, ensuring alignment with business operations.
-
Conduct team meetings, one-on-ones, and retention-focused conversations.
-
Experience assessing Architecture Review Board outputs to ensure alignment with required technical skill sets.
-
Manage system refresh cycles, break-fix activities, and help desk requests.
-
Monitor and maintain the health of large infrastructure equipment and systems.
-
Prepare for inspections and audits, including ATO renewals.
-
Experience with create, review and approve BOEs within your areas of responsibility.

Oversee the tactical execution of digital program deliverables.
-
Champion and drive capital and expense budget AOP/LRP planning activities.

Manage and coordinate responses to team data calls.
-
Identify team training needs and monitor completion of mandatory training.

Support approval processes for travel and training requests.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years experience.

Experience in IT Operations & Infrastructure Management: Lead system refresh cycles, break‑fix and help desk activities; monitor and maintain the health of large-scale infrastructure equipment and systems

Experience with Architecture Governance & Compliance: Assess Architecture Review Board outputs; prepare for inspections and audits, including ATO renewals, ensuring alignment with technical standards and regulatory requirements.

Experience in Program & Financial Execution: Oversee tactical delivery of digital program milestones; create/review/approve BOEs; drive capital and expense budgeting, including AOP/LRP planning

Experience in Team Administration & Training: Coordinate responses to team data calls; identify training needs and track completion of mandatory training; support approval processes for travel and training requests
Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience leading large-scale IT programs, especially those spanning multiple sites, companies, and collaborative environments.

Experience with Agile methodologies such as Disciplined Agile, SAFe, or Scrum Alliance frameworks.

Experience with DevSecOps practices and a strong working knowledge of systems engineering, software development, systems integration, and test processes across the program lifecycle.

Background working within program closed area and/or engineering environments.

Experience with contracts, SOWs, BOEs, and IT and engineering (software and systems) processes and practices.

Experience with cybersecurity requirements including DFARS, CMMC, RMF, NIST, and ATO-related infrastructure compliance (compute, storage, networks, etc.).

Experience leading Digital Technology transformation initiatives that deliver significant cost or schedule benefits.

Experience serving as a functional liaison to the business on strategic initiatives.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
