The Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) software department within Raytheon is looking for a skilled and motivated Software Lead for the Mission Systems Software (MSS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) on the C5i™ Product Line. The C5i Product line is a mature DevSecOps program which currently consists of the Qatar ADOC (Air and Missile Defense Operations Center) and Qatar AOC (Air Operations Center) contract as well as the Air Base Air Defense Rapid Multi-Mission Enhancement Program (ABAD RMEP) contract, with the possibility of future growth. In this position, the candidate will oversee the strategy, execution, development, and delivery of all Software scope for the programs across multiple scrum teams.

This position is located 100% onsite in Tewksbury, MA.
What You Will Do
-
Oversight of engineering activities across multi-disciplinary teams supporting MSS.

Helping to ensure cost and schedule for on time delivery of software to meet the mission, contractual obligations and customer expectations.

Interacting daily with other cross-discipline teams to meet program goals and objectives while driving on-time and on-budget performance.

Interaction with the program office, functional and technical leaders.
-
Early identification of risks and opportunities, along with definition and execution of mitigation and capture plans.

Partnering with the leads, including chief engineers and technical leads, to define and provide the most cost-effective technical solutions.

Establish open and effective communication with team members, ensuring cross-team training, mentoring, and growth opportunities.

Regular review of program status, including tracking and review by both Engineering and Program Leadership.

Support for the development of software proposals and support for all program proposal efforts.

EAC development and presentation to appropriate discipline levels
-
Assist in sub-contract management of entities that deliver capabilities to the MSS team(s).
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years or prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle.

Experience working on a development program using agile/scrum and in DevSecOps/Automation.

Ability to obtain U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required after start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Experience managing project or program cost, schedule and risk

Experience with Earned Value Management, Risk & Opportunity and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

Experience presenting program and technical issues to senior stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction.

Self-starter – proactive in determining goals and objectives and pursuing the necessary course of action.

Experience with proposal or capture efforts.

Experience with both domestic and international defense programs including both Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
