The Role
Andersen is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Senior Associate with experience in general ledger accounting, intercompany accounting, and the financial close process across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in U.S. GAAP and hands-on experience supporting consolidated financial reporting, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and ensuring audit readiness. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Core Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain general ledger integrity, ensuring accurate coding, classification, and reconciliation of financial transactions
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entry preparation, accruals, etc.
- Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Manage intercompany accounting processes including due-to/due-from balances, reconciliations, and coordination of elimination entries for consolidated financial statements
- Support consolidation activities across multiple entities ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial reporting
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of key accounts including accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany balances
- Assist with partnership accounting processes including various payment types
- Assist in preparation of audit schedules during audit cycles
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support during close cycles and special projects
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- 3+ years' work experience
- Experience in the following:
- U.S. GAAP financial reporting
- General ledger accounting & reconciliations
- Intercompany accounting & consolidation
- ASC 842 lease accounting
- Month-end / quarter-end close
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
- ERP systems: SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Dynamo
- Strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset
- Ability to perform in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Compensation and Benefits
Our firm offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being, growth, and long-term success of our people. Salary Range: For individuals hired to work in New York, the expected salary range for this role is $78,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
Benefits: Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. Employees may enroll in the firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire.
