JOB SUMMARY:
Provides administrative support to the production department. Releases and distributes orders for assigned department. Performs daily production reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Coordinates execution of department production schedule
- Gathers and reviews data from manufacturing and support organizations, coordinates with capacity and material analysis to resolve material and capacity discrepancies that affect the schedule
- Translates anticipated demand into production and purchase orders for internal and external suppliers
- Attends production and planning meetings
- Works closely with Customer Service Department, Purchasing Department, Production Department, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Shipping Department to ensure products are produced and shipped per schedule
- Processes change notices
- Fulfills replacement part orders
- Monitors daily attendance
- Completes daily MDI reports
- Facilitates orientation for new hires
- Cross trains team members on processes and assists with production as needed.
- Create purchase requisitions for department supplies as required using purchasing system
- Performs safety inspections
- Other duties may be assigned

- Basic computer literacy including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AS400.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: | High school diploma or equivalent. |
Experience: | 2+ years of experience in comparable roles. |
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: | |
Computer Skills: | PC proficiency is essential, as experience with Microsoft Office products and MRP systems (AS400 preferred) |
Mathematical Abilities: | Ability to use MS Excel to analyze data and present in a meaningful manner |
Analytical or Reasoning Abilities: | Effective leadership, administration, analytical, and communication skills (written and oral). |
Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning) | Spanish language a plus. Effective verbal and electronic communication with proper etiquette. |
Other Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities) | Organizational and time management skills are required. Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment. A team-oriented individual who is flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment. Ability to plan and organize and to set priorities to meet deadlines. |
