Overview
The Mechanic performs general and HVAC maintenance and repair duties requiring a variety of industrial and facility maintenance skills, assists electricians with electrical/low-voltage work, and responds to tenant requests in such a manner as to ensure optimal customer relations.

Pay: $48.07 per hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
- Responds in a professional, polite, and helpful manner when dealing with customers.
- Completes assigned maintenance repairs and project work on a variety of industrial equipment requiring HVAC, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
- Assists mechanical and electrical employees and supervisors in completing assigned preventive maintenance and reactive work orders requiring, but not limited to general facility maintenance craft skills.
- Completes preventive and reactive maintenance assignments requiring only very basic skills.
- Completes reactive and preventive maintenance paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
- Develops basic troubleshooting skills in general industrial maintenance crafts.
- Assists in emergencies as needed.
- Performs call-catching duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Returns all work areas to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition.
- Learns, understands, and complies with fire, safety, and other emergency practices.
- Informs supervisor of any condition observed to be unsafe.
- Learns, understands, and complies with all ABM and customer policies.
- Participates in training directed at increasing maintenance and job-related skills.
Qualifications
- High school or technical school graduate.
- Basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical aptitude and knowledge.
- Ability to keep simple records of activities performed.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Familiar with use of basic maintenance hand tools.
