Join our Environment, Health & Safety team in Wilson, NC as an EH&S Manager supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading site EH&S programs, driving regulatory compliance, partnering with operations leadership, and fostering a proactive safety culture focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do:

Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of site Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) programs and management systems.

Serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership by providing strategic and technical EH&S guidance that supports business objectives and operational performance.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company EH&S requirements, policies, and procedures.
-
Manage OSHA recordkeeping, occupational medical programs, and regulatory reporting activities.
-
Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and employee engagement across all levels of the organization.
-
Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, and program teams to develop EH&S-compliant solutions that support customer requirements and production schedules.
-
Lead incident management processes, including investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action development, and verification of effectiveness.
-
Oversee risk assessments, industrial hygiene evaluations, inspections, audits, and program reviews to identify and mitigate hazards.
-
Ensure effective contractor safety management and compliance with site EH&S expectations.
-
Analyze EH&S performance metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and drive corrective actions.

Support and lead internal audits, assurance reviews, VPP assessments, and external regulatory interactions as needed.

Oversee EH&S training programs, ensuring compliance and development of workforce safety awareness.

Maintain and improve EH&S documentation, procedures, and EH&S software systems.
-
Lead or support cross-functional initiatives focused on operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

Effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment while working independently with minimal supervision,
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
-
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EH&S management systems, and manufacturing safety practices.
-
Experience leading EH&S programs within a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, pharmaceutical, chemical, or other high-hazard environment.
Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience managing Industrial Hygiene programs

Experience managing Occupational Medical programs

Experience managing OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) programs

Experience working with explosives, energetics, or other highly hazardous materials and processes

Professional certifications preferred:

ASP

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)

Ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, industrial hygiene, and occupational health programs.

Experience using EH&S management software systems and data reporting tools.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
