Job Summary:
Provides support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.
What you will do:
• Participating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
• Monitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
• Analyzing engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates and implements all changes.
• Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
What you will have:
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations, datas and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing and testing process.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably - Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or Mechanics)
- Active professional registration (CREA)
- Intermediate level of English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, Power automate, Power Apps,
- Hydraulic and electric schematic interpretation
- Experience with supervisory systems, data acquisition, instrumentation.
- Experience with industrial networking systems (IIoT)
Top candidates will also have:
- Knowledge of LabVIEW programming and other programming languages (e.g. python, C++)
- Previous experience in Mechatronics and/or Industrial Automation
- Strong intellectual curiosity, particularly in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence
- Knowledge of Data Science concepts and data analysis techniques
- Experience in developing and automating routines (e.g., scripts, process automation)
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems of Caterpillar products
- Knowledge CAN/J1939 Protocol
