Job Title
Senior Experience & AI Quality Lead
Senior Experience & AI Quality Lead, Finxact Experience
What does a successful Senior Experience & AI Quality Lead do at Fiserv?
A successful Senior Experience & AI Quality Lead owns and drives quality across the Finxact Experience landscape — from the Finxact Console to our AI capabilities. This is more than automation that runs scripts: you bring deep banking and domain knowledge, so you know how the system should behave and can tell the difference between a test that passes and a product that’s actually correct. You set the quality strategy, build the automation to back it up, and partner with our Product and Engineering leaders as a co-owner of quality — together deciding what “good” looks like and what’s ready to ship. It’s a senior, hands-on role: you lead through strategy, standards, and execution, and you’re the clear-eyed voice on where the real risk lives before anything ships.
What you will do
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders as a co-owner of quality, bringing the testing strategy, domain judgment, and evidence to jointly define what “good” looks like and what’s ready to ship
- Apply deep banking and Finxact domain knowledge to validate that the system behaves the way it should, not just that scripts pass — catching correctness and behavioral issues, not only broken builds
- Define and champion the testing and quality strategy across the Finxact Experience landscape, establishing the standards, coverage targets, and quality gates that everything ships through
- Define clear, defensible test plans across both automated and manual coverage, and be able to walk stakeholders through them
- Design, build, and maintain a modern test automation suite for the Finxact Console — end-to-end, API/contract, and regression — integrated into CI/CD so quality is enforced in the pipeline, not after the fact
- Shape and run the evaluation strategy for our AI/LLM ecosystem — automated and manual — building eval suites and prompt/output regression that measure accuracy, groundedness, safety, and consistency, and gate releases accordingly
- Partner closely with engineers, who own development, while you own the quality bar, the measurement, and the release gate for new features
- Serve as the point of quality for every release — making the call that there are no meaningful regressions and that new functionality meets the quality bar before it ships
- Provide a testing framework and standards for developers to build against, and enforce compliance across the team
- Bring best-in-class QA practice, tooling, and a quality culture to the team, leveling everyone up through standards, documentation, and example
What you will need to have
- 5+ years in software quality assurance and test automation, including a proven track record as a QA and SDET lead — with concrete examples you can speak to of automation suites and quality programs you’ve owned
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building end-to-end and API/integration test automation for modern web applications (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium; REST/contract testing) integrated into CI/CD pipelines
- 3+ years of experience in a senior or lead capacity owning quality strategy — coverage models, risk-based testing, regression strategy, release-readiness criteria, and quality gates
- 3+ years of experience in banking or financial services, with working knowledge of how core banking systems are expected to behave — enough domain depth to judge correctness, not just whether tests pass
- Demonstrated ability to partner with Product and Engineering leaders as a peer, co-owning quality and operating with authority over the quality bar — as a lead or otherwise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or around a core banking or platform product, with comfort navigating complex, configurable systems
- Experience defining quality or evaluation approaches for AI / LLM-powered features — eval frameworks, prompt/output regression, or measuring accuracy, and safety
- Experience working in agile product development environments
You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
