Program Summary:
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment supported by KBR
Provide remedial maintenance services on electrical/mechanical Eddy Current Inspection Systems (ECIS).
Diagnose and fix equipment errors and failures.
Perform function tests and analysis on various systems and sub-systems.
Read and follow procedures and technical Orders (TO).
Shift Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and remedial maintenance on OEM equipment at the customer site during shift work. Normal shift work is between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, but may change depending on workload and may include weekend support.
Education/Training
This job is for an Associate Engineering Technician with 2-4 years of experience. However, any formal training or technical certifications are helpful.
- Engineering technicians supporting one of the following disciplines: Electronics, Mechanical, Test, or Field.
- AS degree in Engineering Technology or related field, military technical training program, or completion of technical institute program. Four years of experience are required in lieu of degree.
Travel:
Some travel is required; KBR will consider the appropriate time when the applicant travels to other sites in the United States and possibly internationally.
Experience:
An applicant with relevant experience is preferred but not required. All training is provided on the job in a similar environment, performing similar duties. Work experience we will consider Electronics, Mechanical, Test or Field, IT help desk support, and soldering with IPC certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Successful applicants show they can work and contribute to a team environment, be a self-starter, and
work independently with limited instruction and meet critical demands.
The successful applicant must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. In addition, experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, is anticipated.
