Founded by a therapist, Smile Pediatric Therapy & Diagnostics has been providing therapy, assessments, and early intervention programs to infants, toddlers, and school-aged children—in clinic, home, and school settings—for over 10 years. Located near the Los Angeles areas of Los Feliz, Silver Lake, and Echo Park, we are currently hiring pediatric Occupational Therapists (OTR/L). Competitive pay and flexible scheduling!
As an Occupational Therapist at Smile, your day is centered around helping children build independence, confidence, and functional skills that carry into everyday life. You might begin your morning in the clinic supporting a toddler with sensory regulation through movement-based activities, obstacle courses, or fine motor play. Later, you may be helping a student improve handwriting, attention, or classroom participation. In the afternoon, you could be coaching a parent - demonstrating strategies to support feeding, self-care routines, or transitions.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide direct occupational therapy services to children with fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, visual motor, and developmental delays. Each day, you’ll create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that are playful, purposeful, and functional. You’ll adapt activities in real time to meet the child’s sensory and emotional needs, collect data to monitor progress, and collaborate with families and educators to ensure carryover across environments.
Beyond direct treatment sessions, your role includes completing session documentation, contributing to evaluations and reassessments, and developing progress and discharge reports. You’ll participate in parent trainings and collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other providers to create cohesive, child-centered treatment plans. Most importantly, you’ll celebrate the meaningful milestones—buttoning a shirt independently, tolerating new textures, improving pencil grasp, or successfully navigating transitions—that make this work so impactful.
We are looking for individuals who love working with children within a play-based, sensory rich nurturing environment, enjoy collaborating across different disciplines, and wish to grow within the company. Bilingual speakers and feeding therapists please apply!
