Lead Global Engineering Teams: Direct, mentor, and oversee domestic and international Out-Source (O/S) engineering teams, serving as the primary Pratt & Whitney focal point to ensure high-quality, timely task completion aligned with business priorities.

Execute Advanced Structural Assessments: Conduct and oversee complex structural evaluations—including Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS, NX Simcenter), Fracture Mechanics, and Low/High Cycle Fatigue Life Cycle Predictions—to resolve critical quality issues and streamline supplier transitions.

Champion Quality & Innovation: Author and delegate non-conformance structural assessments for critical military and commercial components using 2D/3D modeling and hand calculations, ensuring flawless alignment with P&W Engineering Standard Work.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to pioneer innovative structural solutions that seamlessly balance component performance, cost, manufacturing schedule, and quality requirements.

Travel Requirements: Up to 15% (Domestic and International), with a part-time on-site presence at Middletown, CT campus (minimum twice per week).

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes engineering experience and knowledge of structural analysis methods (stress analysis, LCF/HCF fatigue, and fracture mechanics).
Qualifications We Prefer:

Advanced Credentials: Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.

Aerospace Leadership: Proven experience leading engineering teams within an aerospace manufacturing or production support environment.

Advanced Software Palette: Proficiency in modeling tools and programming languages (e.g., ANSYS, APDL, Workbench, ABAQUS, Python, MATLAB, NX Simcenter/Teamcenter, or SAP).

Dynamic Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of translating complex technical realities into clear, impactful strategies for varied audiences.

Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO): ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
