Overview
The AMHS Installation Technician installs AMHS equipment and performs non-licensed installation support (mounting, routing, cable management, connectorized hookups, and verification) in a semiconductor environment. This is not a licensed electrician role. Electrical distribution work, final terminations, and energization are performed by qualified electricians.
Pay: $36.56 per hour plus fringe

Responsibilities
Scope Boundaries:
This role does not perform:
- NEC-governed electrical work independently (feeders/branch circuits, breakers, panel modifications)
- Live/energized work or troubleshooting
- Final terminations in switchgear/MCCs/panelboards
Key Responsibilities
- Install AMHS components per OEM/project drawings (supports/strut, brackets, guarding, frames, modules); align/level and torque to spec.
- Install cable supports and routing hardware (tray/wireway/supports) as directed; route/dress OEM control/comm/fiber/sensor cables to spec.
- Perform OEM plug-in equipment connections and directed connections under supervision; prep/label cables for the electrician's final termination.
- Provide support during commissioning readiness checks by assisting with point-to-point verification, de-energized continuity checks, and labeling validation; document findings/redlines per foreman/OEM direction.
- Maintain cleanroom/ESD compliance and follow site safety requirements (LOTO, elevated work, lift rules).
- Support/coach junior installers; coordinate staging and sequencing with the team.
Qualifications
- 3 plus; years in automation/material handling/tool install or industrial electromechanical assembly (semiconductor preferred).
- Can read, install drawings/layouts, and follow OEM instructions.
- Comfortable with lifts/ladders, overhead work, and strict safety/cleanliness requirements.
- OSHA 10/30 and lift/fall protection certifications preferred.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
