What You'll Be Doing…
As a Senior Engineer Consultant in AI Science, you will be a technical expert and hands-on developer responsible for building, deploying, and managing end-to-end AI services to power next-generation generative and Agentic AI use cases for network autonomy. You will play a crucial role in delivering the core Autonomous Networks framework, which transforms network operations from reactive queues into a continuous, 24/7 autonomous workforce. This role requires expertise in designing and optimizing large-scale AI/ML solutions, focusing on the technical components that detect, aggregate, synthesize, investigate, and recommend actionable strategies across the global network.
What We're Looking For…
- Design, develop, and optimize Artificial Intelligence, SLM/LLM solutions to diverse real-world problems and implement cutting-edge generative artificial intelligence models and systems.
- Implement and analyze the performance of advanced algorithms, including those from deep learning and generative AI.
- Apply expertise to the five layers of autonomous agents, developing models for continuous monitoring, impact aggregation, contextual event clustering, and evidence-based root cause hypothesis generation.
- Design and implement robust AI/ML pipelines for efficient model training, deployment, and real-time monitoring.
- Contribute to developing robust and scalable distributed computing systems for large-scale data processing.
- Utilize advanced Prompt and Context engineering and optimization techniques to enhance SLM/LLM modeling.
- Communicate complex model designs and outcomes in business terms to non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in generative AI and deep learning, contributing to research and development of novel models.
You'll Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Five or more years as a data scientist with exposure to full-stack model development, deployment, evaluation, optimization, and scaling.
- Strong hands-on experience working with GCP, BigQuery/SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Understanding of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Must have AI Hygiene with Model/Agents inferencing, tracing and serving tools and techniques.
- Experience with modeling techniques including Statistics (Hypothesis testing, Regression), Machine Learning (Classification, Clustering), and AI Algorithms (GenAI/NLP, Deep Learning).
- Ability to explain both the code and the underlying math used in algorithms/models.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Prior experience with telecommunications industry data, 4G/5G technologies, or network automation use cases.
- Familiarity with specific Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph) and evaluation frameworks (e.g., Galileo, Deepevals).
- Practiced building Mixture of Experts Models, Agents, Skills and tools.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
