Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to join our logistics team. Duties
- Coordinate warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, stocking, and inventory control to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage warehouse distribution processes, utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle to track inventory levels and order status.
- Oversee procurement activities by sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, and managing contracts to secure optimal pricing and terms.
- Implement process improvements by analyzing supply chain data, conducting root cause analysis, and applying lean principles to enhance efficiency.
- Supervise materials handling operations including forklift usage, ensuring safety protocols are followed during loading, unloading, and storage.
- Collaborate with transportation management teams to plan logistics routes, coordinate freight shipments (including 3PL providers), and optimize transportation planning.
- Monitor inventory levels through data collection and analysis skills using SQL and supply chain analytics tools to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Support demand planning by analyzing sales trends and adjusting stocking strategies accordingly to meet customer needs in e-commerce environments.
- Manage shipping & receiving processes while ensuring compliance with shipping regulations such as NVOCC standards and freight requirements.
- Engage in vendor management by evaluating supplier performance, maintaining supplier relationships, and managing category management initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supply chain operations within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution systems, inventory management techniques, and logistics processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, AS400 or similar platforms; experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis using SQL or other analytics tools to inform decision-making.
- Experience with procurement strategies including sourcing, negotiation, pricing analysis, and contract management.
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment like forklifts; certification is a plus.
- Understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), freight logistics, demand planning, and shipping regulations.
- Excellent analysis skills for root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives within supply chain functions.
