Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product design or UX, including consumer-facing product design.
- Experience with core interaction design, user-centered design, and usability.

Preferred qualifications:

About the job
As an XR SysUI Designer, you will lead critical SysUI design projects to ensure high quality experiences for XR users and developers. You will be responsible for defining the UX foundations for existing and next-generation XR devices. You will be a key driver of both strategy and execution. You will partner closely with Research, Engineering, and Product Management teams across these efforts.
This role requires a motivated individual contributor who is enthusiastic about 0->1 products, capable of navigating ambiguity, and passionate about establishing industry-leading designs, patterns and frameworks for AI wearables.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive XR SysUI UX design to scale across the device ecosystem, with users, developers and OEM partners in mind, exploring entirely new interaction paradigms and capabilities that can be unique to XR.
- Align Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams on cohesive, scalable design strategies. Cultivate deep relationships and synthesize complex technical and user considerations into clear, actionable design direction throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Lead the discovery and ideation for Android XR patterns that adapt to evolving technology, user expectations, and broader Android/Pixel ecosystem. Drive users experience innovation by exploring new interaction paradigms. Work with research to validate.
- Operate as a strategic thought partner to executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, bringing resolution to complex, ambiguous challenges. Use effective communication, data-informed decisions, and deep user empathy to influence long-term business success and product excellence.
