Role Overview
The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to Disney’s Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations teams. The role requires the ability to complete a wide variety of administrative tasks with resourcefulness, strong attention to detail, and little guidance; develop relationships successfully with internal and external partners; and, given the sensitive nature of the teams’ projects, maintain confidentiality and professional discretion.
Specifically, the role will support:
Corporate Strategy: support for two Vice Presidents and ad hoc support for the broader Corporate Strategy team
Investor Relations: support for Vice President and on-site delivery for Investor Relations related Burbank activities (e.g., meetings, conferences)
Back up coverage for the Executive Assistant supporting the EVP, Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations
Team Overview
Corporate Strategy is a highly visible team of approximately ten professionals with backgrounds in media, consulting, and investment banking. Serving as in-house advisors to The Walt Disney Company’s executive leadership, the team plays a critical role in shaping the company’s long-term strategic vision as well as ensuring it remains well-positioned within the dynamic media and entertainment space. The team is responsible for assessing emerging industry and consumer trends, identifying new business models and growth opportunities, and driving key strategic initiatives across the company. Partnering closely with senior business and functional leaders, the team develops strategic insights and recommendations that help inform key decisions for executive management. As part of the Corporate Strategy team at The Walt Disney Company, you’ll be at the forefront of strategy and growth for one of the world’s most iconic media and entertainment companies.
Investor Relations serves as the primary liaison between The Walt Disney Company's executive leadership and the global investment community, communicating the Company's strategy, financial performance, and long-term growth opportunities to shareholders and analysts. The team is responsible for developing and executing a holistic investor messaging strategy, facilitating understanding of the Company's operations and delivering perspectives on market sentiment and investor feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Vice Presidents
Partner with internal Disney groups as well as external third parties as needed on time-sensitive and business-critical tasks in an administrative capacity
Assist with special projects as needed
Interface directly with other senior executives and their support teams
Handle extremely confidential, sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded company
Prepare expense reports, make travel arrangements, order office supplies, etc.
Schedule conference rooms and meetings (both in person and virtual)
Process large purchase orders and vendor contracts
Assist with on-boarding new employees (including coordinating with HR and IT)
Provide on-site IR support for meetings and conferences
Coordinate with NY-based Executive Assistant supporting EVP, Corporate Strategy & Investor Relations
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years providing executive level administrative support
Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail
A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook and a can-do attitude
Resourceful, “figure it out” mentality; ability to problem solve; takes initiative
Strong professional discretion and complete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive information
Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables
Collaborative approach, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $65,300.00 to $87,500.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
