What You’ll Be Doing...
You'll be managing and supporting enterprise customers for their business-critical services. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities surrounding the ongoing maintenance and expert level support of Verizon Managed Services customer networks, primarily Incident and Change Management. These activities will include the troubleshooting and resolution of highly complex network issues, complex change management, working with vendors and internal organizations (IT NOC, Engineering, PMO, etc.) on product wide issues as well as product readiness projects.
- Interacting with different stakeholders on high visibility and complex technical issues.
- Performing RAN Upgrades
- Performing Router Upgrades
- Managing Wireless LAN (MWLAN - Aruba and Cisco WLCs and APs), etc.
- Providing expert level support for all underlying Verizon network access and fulfillment function for MNS Standard Change Management requests.
- Providing customer configuration which includes Cisco 7600, ASR9K, ESR, GSR IOS & IOS-XR devices, and Juniper M320 and MX960 devices.
What We’re Looking For
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience
- Experience in Cell Site RAN deployments and upgrades
- Understanding of Cell Site Routers and their upgrades
- Physical / Virtual RAN Architecture
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for analyzing complex network solutions and problems
- Experience with Oracle/SQL database administration
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and convert code to new scripting languages
- Willingness to work a schedule that includes overlap with the US day shift (specifically for weekly meetings and initial training)
- Working experience in Python (Pandas, Requests, NumPy, Paramiko (for SSH/Network)).
- Working experience in Programming Concepts - REST API integration, JSON/XML parsing, Error handling, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Messaging Streaming Technologies - Apache Pulsar or Kafka
- Basics of AL / ML - Frameworks ( Scikit-learn, Pandas & NumPy PyTorch ), NLP , LLM , Prompt Engineering, RAG, Vector DB
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or Economics.
- Experience with Telecom networks
- Certifications in one or more of the following: Kubernetes ( such as CKA, CKD etc ., ), Python, AL /ML technologies.
