The Data Intelligence and Analytics (DnA) team sits at the center of the Disney Entertainment Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business, powering decisions across our streaming portfolio with analytics, data science, and decision frameworks. As Vice President, Analytics Engineering & Operations, you will lead the connective tissue and decision infrastructure ofDnA, ensuring our analytics function is trusted, fast, scalable, and operationally excellent across Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN.
This role oversees Analytics Engineering,DnAOperations, the Program Management Office (PMO), Technical Program Management (TPM), and International Analytics. You will be the executive accountable for the semantic layer and source of truth, metrics governance, BI and reporting, enablement, AI Analytics capabilities, cross-DnAprogram delivery, strategic operational rhythms, and the global operations engine that aligns our regional Data & Analytics partners. You will also serve as a senior cross-functional partner to leaders across DTC, Product & Technology, Finance, and ESPN, helping embed reliable, well-governed analytics into the day-to-day operations of the business.
Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap forDnAOperations and Analytics Engineering, elevating both functions into scalable, AI-enabled capabilities that accelerate decision velocity across DTC.
Lead Analytics Engineering across all verticals and cross-DTC stakeholders, including ownership of the semantic layer, source of truth, metrics governance, BI and reporting, enablement, and AI Analytics, ensuring every metric means the same thing everywhere and is available when, where, and how teams need it.
LeadDnAOperations, PMO, and TPM, ensuring predictable, on-time delivery across cross-DnAprograms through operational rigor, risk mitigation, and cross-functional alignment, and ensuring strategic alignment and enablement through standardized operational rhythms, transparent planning, and consistent narratives acrossDnA.
Lead International Analytics as the global operations engine, partnering with regional Data & Analytics teams to roll out common solutions and standards, localize tools and processes, and foster global-to-regional alignment.
Advance AI Analytics initiatives, including the development of AI-powered tools and features on foundational models, evaluator frameworks for LLM accuracy and consistency, AI agentic workflows withappropriate guardrails, and third-party analytics tool evaluation, implementation, and governance.
Oversee core operational pillars including tooling and enablement (Looker, Tableau, and proprietary AI tools), analytics operations, and reporting for launch initiatives and executive-facing deliverables, ensuring data integrity, quality, and SLA compliance.
Partner with senior leaders across DTC, Product & Technology, Finance, and ESPN to define success metrics for company initiatives and enable data support for measurement and tracking in partnership with Data Platforms teams.
Architect and execute the operating model forDnA'sconnective tissue, including ways of working, intake, prioritization, and delivery frameworks that scale acrossDnAand its cross-functional partners.
Act as a neutral, expert third party gaining alignment across business, technology, finance, and regional stakeholders whilemaintaininganalytical and operational rigor.
Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and structured leadership growth, building managers into senior leaders andestablishingteam culture, identity, and career pathways that blend technical excellence with business acumen.
12+ years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, data science, technical program management, or operations roles, with 8+ years in leadership or management, ideally in streaming, technology, or digital media.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or business discipline.
Deepexpertisein semantic layer design, metric governance, and ensuring consistency across reporting, analysis, experiments, forecasts, and executive reviews.
Strong fluency with analytics tools (SQL, Python/R, Looker, Tableau) and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, AWS or equivalent).
Strategic experience with AI/ML applications in analytics, including AI-powered business intelligence, LLM tool development, evaluator frameworks,orAI agentic workflows.
Proven ability to architect and execute multi-year roadmaps, including the evolution of operating models, methodologies, tools, technology, and data products.
Advanced degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or business discipline.
Knowledge of subscriber lifecycle, content engagement, retention analytics, and account-based performance analytics.
Prior experience leading AI Analytics initiatives, including proprietary AI tools, LLM evaluation frameworks, or AI agentic workflow implementations.
The hiring range for this position in California is $277,500 to $372,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
