As a member of our Disney Consumer Products division (DCP), the Global Brand Commercialization Manager (PH/IA) will support the strategic commercialization strategies for our consumer products and retail channels globally for The Walt Disney Company’s portfolio for the Mickey and Friends brand portfolio.
This role will be responsible for supporting brand and category strategies through collaborative partnerships with filmmakers, creative, strategy, business development, and other key stakeholders across DCP, Disney Animation, Disney Live Action and Pixar as well as external development partners.
The role reports to the Senior Manager, Global Brand Commercialization and is based in Glendale, CA.
This role is a 24-month project hire (PH) or Internal Assignment (IA) position with no guarantee of permanent employment (length of role may change based on business needs).
You Will / Responsibilities:
Support & deliver strategic brand strategy for products across the Mickey & Friends brands globally
Build relationships with global partners and ensure timely & transparent communications
Act as a key contact and manage franchise relationships with internal and external partners
Collaborates with key stakeholders across the company to deliver against commercial needs.
Acts as brand ambassador by providing a broad and deep understanding of Disney and/or Pixar brands
Establish timelines and manage projects to meet key milestones based on business needs
Facilitate milestone meetings, employing strategies for effective and strategic meeting management
Maintain comprehensive project tracking to monitor and report project progress
Escalate when deliverables are off calendar in a timely manner
Think strategically and with a solution-oriented approach
Liaise with Licensees, as needed
Manage sensitive early asset delivery process
Manage Legal/Business Affairs/Trademark/Music clearance process for Creative Design and Product Design
Continually evaluate processes to maximize efficiencies in ways of working, leveraging technology
You Will Have / Required Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive brand/franchise experience
Strong understanding of both internal/external, and product go to market
Experience with Excel, Word, Keynote & PowerPoint and other asset management software
Ability to build trust and strong relationships with film makers, executives, and IP stake holders
Agile and responsive – can thrive in ambiguous business situations.
Proven ability to be resourceful, decisive, confident under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail
Outstanding creativity and drive; excellent written and oral communication and collaboration skills
Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated ability to craft story
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing projects including timelines, approvals, documentation and overall milestones and insight gathering.
Cross-functional knowledge both internally and externally working across departments such as marketing, brand, business affairs, legal, operations and more.
Experience working with consumer products (softlines and hardlines) and interacting with licensees
Ability to interact with a variety of levels of decision makers and staff.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $ 105,100.00 to $140,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
