Overview
The
Floor Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily floor care operations, ensuring high-quality cleaning and maintenance of all facility flooring. This role supervises floor technicians, coordinates schedules, enforces safety standards, and ensures all work is completed efficiently and in accordance with company and client expectations.
Pay: $22.00/hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of floor technicians; assign daily tasks and monitor performance
- Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of various floor types (carpet, tile, VCT, hardwood, concrete, etc.)
- Train team members on floor care techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and address any deficiencies
- Develop and manage schedules to meet operational needs and client demands
- Maintain inventory of supplies, chemicals, and equipment; coordinate reordering as needed
- Operate and oversee the use of floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, extractors, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company policies
- Respond to client requests, complaints, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
- Complete reports, documentation, and timekeeping as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 2–5 years of floor care experience, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet care
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety practices
- Ability to train and motivate a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
