Summary:
Conceptualize, Design and Develop Over-The-Road Reefer, Flat bed, low boy/drop deck and trailer related products.
Provide product manufacturing support in terms of metal fabrication of parts and other purchased materials/components required for system integration.
Engage with internal and external points of contact regarding final product design options and /or considerations.
Responsibilites:
- Develop and/or follow-up regarding product projects, carrying out technical feasible studies relevant to Product Engineering, guaranteeing performance, quality, safety and reliability of the product, observing standards and technical specifications, preparing and/or requesting technical drawings, performing analysis of results, monitoring and implementing schedule steps in order to meet customer needs and proposed results.
- Follow Technical guides and lead the work team in matters related to the manufacturing products.
- Carry out product improvement studies, aiming to increase productivity and/or reduce costs. Observing the technical and economic feasibility using methodologies defined by the company, Supporting management in decision-making.
- Work with suppliers in dealing with solutions for the projects developed, checking technical capacity, suggestions on materials, components, operations with the aim of making it possible to meet the parameters defined in the project.
- Participate in meetings, workshops and/or similar situations, collecting and/or reporting data in order to propose alternatives and solve problems.
- Guide product tests in the field, monitoring performance and use, ensuring compliance with the technical specifications developed.
- Monitor indicators in your area of expertise, as well as ensure necessary actions to meet established goals.
- Align work processes, common goals, and objectives, carry out visits, establishing a favorable relationship, with a view to raising and/or providing information, clarifying objectives, solving problems, between others.
- Suggest and/or implement improvements and/or innovations, analyzing internal controls and procedures, prepare and/or monitor projects and/or action plans to streamline and qualify the demands.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of intellectual property (patent) of products and processes, writing a specific document with or without third-party support, to guarantee the protection of innovations in relation to competitors.
Education/Experience:
Minimum 2 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience required.
Experience in design software - required, Auto CAD/NX- preferred.
Experience in metal fabrication- preferred
Experience manufacturing environment- preferred
