Description:You will be the Safety Engineer Sr. - Level 3 for the Safety & ESH team which is responsible for overseeing occupational safety, health, and environmental compliance across the plant.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Safety Engineer Sr. - Level 3 you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety programs to ensure federal, state, and corporate ESH standards are met and workers return home safe every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Verify that workplace conditions satisfy all applicable OSHA, EPA, and state occupational‑safety and health standards.
- Manage ESH policies, procedures, training, and metrics to sustain a robust safety culture.
- Analyze engineering plans, specifications, and purchase orders for new equipment to confirm required safety safeguards are included.
- Conduct regular plant inspections of fire‑suppression systems, safety equipment, machinery, and work areas, promptly correcting any deficiencies.
- Lead root‑cause investigations of accidents, near‑misses, and unsafe acts, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Master’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (e.g., Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
