We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Cloud Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions to support enterprise mission systems and business applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments, leveraging your deep knowledge of Oracle products and cloud architecture best practices. This role demands technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience with Oracle-based systems in high-volume environments. Responsibilities
Required Skills:
- The ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility with CI polygraph required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in building enterprise-scale mission systems, preferably within the federal sector
- Proven hands-on experience with IaaS services including compute, storage, networking, FaaS, identity, and access management. Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices for deploying scalable and secure cloud environments
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) in OCI environments
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as Oracle, AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with Oracle databases (on-premise and cloud), including provisioning, configuration, backup, and recovery
- Proficiency with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools for managing OCI resources
- Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security principles
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in OCI environments
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DBAs, and business analysts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting and presenting solutions
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in a data engineering context
- Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional or Oracle Big Data certification) are a plus
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC)-related agencies and working with geospatial data types
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
- Developing and implementing multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
