Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) in support of the Air Dominance Portfolio located in Tucson, AZ. The Material Program Manager (MPM) must be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and can drive change through creative problem solving.
In this role, you will be the liaison between the Program Office, Engineering, and the Supply Base, and will work to define material and procurement strategies in alignment with evolving program requirements in a fast-paced Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) environment. This role is integral in identifying supply chain risks, developing mitigation plans, managing supplier performance, and supporting monthly financial Earned Value reporting requirements. This role is critical to ensuring the program’s success and you will directly impact cost, schedule and quality outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain execution, material constraints, and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans
- Manage material sales forecasting, material budgets, and monthly/quarterly Earned Value financial reporting
- Execute make/buy/where process
- Assist with generation of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW)
- Generate Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs), and obtaining and understanding supplier proposals/quotes
- Generate and process Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests
- Support supplier negotiations and drive PO placement plan execution to meet program cost and schedule objectives
- Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
