Overview
ABM Industries is seeking Facilities Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Moraine, OH (1900 Dryden Road, supporting 10 regional AES Ohio locations). This role focuses on general repairs, preventative maintenance, and overall facility upkeep across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate will handle routine maintenance such as drywall, painting, minor plumbing and electrical work, and HVAC PMs (filters and coil cleaning), along with daily physical tasks like trash removal, grounds cleanup, furniture moving, and event support. This position requires flexibility to handle urgent issues, adapt to changing priorities, and complete work orders via mobile device while following strict safety protocols.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone with basic hands-on tool knowledge who is comfortable with physical work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual who shows up consistently and is willing to take on any task. Prior maintenance, construction, or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
Location: 1900 Dryden Road, Moraine, OH (supporting 10 AES Ohio sites in the Dayton area)
Schedule/Hours: Monday – Friday: 7:30AM – 4:00PM or 8:00AM – 4:30PM + on-call rotation (based on seniority)
Pay: $23.28 per hour
The pay listed is the hourly range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Responsibilities
• Perform general building repairs including drywall patching, painting, door, window, and flooring repairs.
• Complete basic plumbing maintenance such as clearing clogs, repairing minor leaks, and replacing fixtures.
• Perform basic electrical tasks including changing light bulbs and fixtures.
• Support HVAC preventative maintenance including filter changes, coil cleaning, and basic inspections.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Move furniture, unload supplies, perform trash removal, and support general grounds upkeep.
• Travel between multiple sites using company-provided vehicles.
• Assist with event setup and teardown including tables, chairs, and layouts.
• Escort vendors onsite as needed.
• Accurately complete work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation using a mobile device.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift at least fifty pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and wrenches.
• Prior maintenance, construction, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
