What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering (HSE) team is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Integrated Product Team Leader (IPT Leader) to support GTF Turbine Airfoils that are produced at the Asheville (AVL) manufacturing facility.
This new position for AVL on-site IPT Leader will be responsible for part-level ownership, task planning, and execution to ensure the IPT achieves goals for the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). The IPT has responsibility for the entire life cycle of the parts and as such the IPT Leader will be engaged in activities ranging from validation testing to Engineering Changes, from production delivery support to field support and investigations.
- Provide project management and leadership to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) that includes design, structural, durability, aero, materials and manufacturing engineers.
- In this role, you will effectively lead a diverse team of individuals / disciplines to meet requirements and achieve goals.
- Ensure the IPT makes timely decisions necessary to achieve goals
- Lead the IPT through successful technical and program reviews, including the management and closure of key technical risks and issues
- Lead the IPT to be fully aligned with RLPM which includes consistent integration of production support members of the IPT
- Plan and manage IPT budgets, schedule, and technical metrics to requirements in collaboration with the CIPT
- Be accountable to CIPT for part level ownership, including communication, risk management, and execution to program requirements.
- Participate with the CIPT in communicating to engineering (HSE & SIPT) and program (MIPT & IPMT) management
- ~ 10% travel
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
8+ years of relevant experience in engineering with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree in a related field.

Technical proficiency, communicate effectively, and be customer focused to lead the IPT to satisfy strict requirements of the GTF engine programs.

Hot section gas turbine component and/or module level experience that includes experience with P&W Turbine Airfoils

Demonstrated success in leading multi-functional teams and effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and levels of management.

Demonstrated experience managing budgets and schedules.

Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and risk management skills
-
Demonstration of skills consistent with the Pratt & Whitney Leadership Operating Model and execution to the RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM).

Qualifications We Prefer:

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and deadlines.

Engineering experience in design, manufacture, development, validation, entry into service and support of field service issues

Focus on results with the ability to drive projects to successful completion

Strong communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, and presentations to engineering and program management
-
Experience executing Engineering Changes through the Product Change and Incorporation Review process (PCIR)
-
Knowledge and experience with Project Management toolsets (e.g. Smartsheet, SAP, Primavera, and/or MS Project).

Working knowledge of operating continuous improvement principles including: CORE, QCPC, Process Certification.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
