Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other critical systems with precision and efficiency.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and alignments to ensure vehicle longevity.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to complete repairs and modifications.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical systems.
- Repair or replace components related to steering, suspension, welding repairs, and other mechanical systems while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Solid mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, vehicle alignment techniques, and the use of schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and understanding of automotive service workflows.
- Strong hand tool proficiency along with experience using power tools and welding equipment for repairs.
