In Store Sales - Backup Driver

What you will enjoy doing*
- In this role, you will provide customer support by taking phone orders, addressing inquiries, tracking order status and shipments and solving customer issues
- You will assess and recommend products while promoting additional sales of hard goods and gases to achieve target margins
- Conduct product demonstrations for customers using customer insight to drive and guide the development of new offerings
- You will work closely with and provides sales support to Outside Sales team
- Maintains customer records and files, including accurate account setup and pricing, as well to perform warehouse duties and moving cylinders for customers as needed
- Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
- Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
- You will complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections is part of your role
- Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
- Build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
- Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing
What Makes You Great
- You hold High School Diploma or GED
- Customer Service or Counter Sales experience required; Industrial setting preferred
- You have knowledge of welding equipment and supplies preferred
- No DUI/DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years
- Two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or have recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
- Valid class A or B CDL is preferred
- Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
- Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- You can read and write in English
- 21 years or older
