Role Overview
Oracle is seeking a Senior Director to lead financial strategy and cost-of-cloud performance for Oracle’s SaaS business. This is a highly visible role owning end-to-end modeling, forecasting, and optimization across infrastructure, compute/storage/networking, royalties, and support.
This role requires deep expertise in cloud unit economics and infrastructure cost drivers, operating across complex ownership models spanning engineering, product, and OCI. Acts as the primary finance partner to Cloud Operations and Product, driving margin expansion, forecast accuracy, and a clear executive narrative that enables decision-making on infrastructure, capacity planning, and efficiency optimization.

Internal Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- Own cost-of-cloud forecasting, targets, and variance analysis across products and data centers
- Build and operate bottoms-up models linking usage, capacity, and infrastructure (compute, storage, network) to cost and margin
- Drive visibility into unit economics (cost per customer, workload, environment)
- Identify and execute on margin levers (utilization, capacity, efficiency, pricing/packaging, support, royalties)
- Partner with engineering and product to influence bill of materials (BOM) and infrastructure design decisions
- Establish KPIs, reporting cadence, and governance across fragmented data and ownership models
- Own the executive narrative, translating complex technical cost drivers into clear, decision-ready insights for senior leadership
- Lead and develop team; set standards for modeling, forecasting, and accountability
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, or cloud economics within SaaS or infrastructure-driven environments
- Direct experience with cost-of-cloud modeling, unit economics, and infrastructure cost drivers required
- Strong understanding of cloud cost drivers (compute, storage, networking, data centers, capacity/utilization)
- Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and build structure across cross-functional teams
- Track record of driving margin improvement in consumption-based models
- Strong executive communication and ability to influence without authority
- Technical fluency (SQL, large data sets, automation) preferred
